Read my new kids' book!

I'm so excited to unveil a new project: WE MAKE COMICS is a digital kids' book I wrote that explains just how many different talents it takes to create comics. It features advice from some of the coolest folks in the comics industry — Dana Simpson, Nilah Magruder, Kean Soo, Kate Leth and on and on — and I hope it'll inspire some young readers to tell their own stories.

You can read the book exclusively on getepic.com, a kids' digital library available via subscription (and for free in schools and libraries). Epic is ad-free, kid-friendly and features thousands of children's books and audiobooks from most major publishers. (You can read everything from the Ramona series to "Ada Twist, Scientist" to superhero comics there.) WE MAKE COMICS is the site's first original nonfiction book

I'm super-proud of this project and hope you dig it. As you can see, illustrator Genevieve Kote did a phenomenal job … and I look oh-so-youthful I look in my author photo!
